Dear Folks,

Not much happening around here today. Didn't leave the hooch today except to eat lunch and buy a coke with my last 15 cents. Woke up this morning to the tune of incoming rockets. There were two separate attacks. One at about 2 o'clock and then one about an hour later. None of them hit inside the compound, but from the way they sounded they were still too close for comfort.

Didn't get any mail today and probably won't get any tomorrow either. All the ships down south are grounded for maintenance, so they don't have any way to get it up here. Still don't see why they don't send it with CAC.

We are supposed to start flying again tomorrow night. We're only supposed to be flying from 6 pm to 8 am for about 3 days. I don't know what is happening on the ground. Somebody is moving. I haven't been told yet who we're supporting.

That about wraps it up- another boring day in Vietnam.

Rick
