Dear Folks,

Looks like I missed a day somewhere. I wrote a letter to Barry last night and then fell asleep. I figured I'd have time today to write, but I ended up working all day.

Somebody knocked down the electric wires to the shower room and I was elected to put it back up. Somehow the First Sergeant found out about my great electro-mechanical ability. Had the shower back in working order by about 9:30 am this morning.

Put in a couple radars this afternoon. That consumed most of our time till about 5 pm. Had to work a little 'overtime' again today. A couple choppers came in about 6:30 pm that needed radios.

We started a game of monopoly about 8:30 pm this evening but never finished it. Just didn't have the spirit. Besides Kelm was a little too drunk to play a decent game anyway. He leaves on Sunday.

Didn't do any work at all yesterday. Just sat in the shop all day. Got a haircut about 2 pm. The army came out with some new haircut regulations the other day. They are not as strict. They're beginning to slack up on their strictness around here too. We had an inspection this morning that lasted about 30 seconds. They'll be giving us our weapons back for a couple days because of the Vietnamese holiday coming up.

Got 5 letters yesterday and some magazines and a tape. Got 2 letters and some magazines today.

I may use the tape you sent for a letter. I haven't been able to find any blank tapes. Kelm said the PX at Long Binh had loads of them, but I haven't been able to get there.

Rick
