Dear Folks,

No letter for yesterday. I found out at noon that I had guard duty. So I spent the night at Bunker #4. Just my luck it rained all night. I fired a couple rounds from my M-16 last night. I've been here 8 months and that's the first time I used it. Just curious to see if it really worked. After I fired the Sgt. of the guard came running out to find out what I was shooting at. I told him it wasn't me but somebody down to the right. The guy to the right said it was somebody to the left. Well since there wasn't anybody in the middle he gave up in disgust.

I got a whole stack of mail yesterday. Four letters, and a birthday card from Mom, Dad, Lee Ann, Jean and George.

I'm expecting some pictures back from Wards today. I mailed them away on the 16th from Da Nang. It usually takes only 8 or 9 days. So you should be getting some pictures in the next couple of days.

Waiting now for the guy to come by and fill up the shower.

Now working on my 9th month.

Rick
