Dear Folks,

Another lazy day. We had an alert this morning about 7:30 am. Bearcat got hit again. Been hearing an awful lot of noise coming from the direction of Bearcat this evening. Sounds like artillery. I guess they finally decided to fight back. The reason they get hit so often is that they have an Army Security Agency building on their compound. We don't have too much here they'd want other than the airstrip and the planes. I'd hate to think what would happen if they started dropping rockets in here. This isn't a very big place.

There's a good song playing right now. "I'm a comin' home soldier". Getting so I just about know the words to it I've heard it so many times.

Well, I'm glad to see we still have some smiling faces back home. Got your letter of the 23rd with the picture. Got Jean's letter of the 20th. Seems I can read her writing better than my own. Jean I really like the (drawing of heart) card U sent. And I can read your secret code too!

I put that film in the mail today. Let's see what kind of service I get.

That's about it for now. Back to 'work' tomorrow.

Rick
