120 days to go
Long Thanh North

Dear Folks,

Figured I'd wait till this morning to write since I never get around to mailing till the next morning anyway. Had the morning off yesterday because of guard duty. Didn't sleep in morning, but hit the sack early in the evening.

Beckman went in to pick up his TDY pay the other day. He told me yesterday that somehow the paperwork got misplaced. So they hunted it down for him. He said they found his and mine, but couldn't find Sylvester's. Since we are on yellow alert now because of the elections we can't go to Long Binh very easily. So Finance said they would mail a check.

Got three letters yesterday. One said you mailed a birthday box. So I'll be on the lookout for it. The pictures I was expecting didn't come. Maybe today.

Rick
