Dear Folks,

After I wrote my letter last night I went right to sleep. About a half an hour later I got woke up to fly. Went up on 027 at about 10:30 pm last night and flew till about 1 am this morning. So now I'm on standby. From the way it looks we're only needed at night. According to the news this operation has been a success so far.

According to the mission sheet we are flying to support a possible retrograde move from Fire Base Katoom and Pace for the 23rd Artillery. I guess that means that if things get too hot for them we would be their commo for getting out.

I figured I had better write now in case they call me again tonight. I went to the post office and got $600 money orders and mailed them home this morning so you should have them by now if not then soon.

No mail this morning. I got four letters yesterday. Enjoyed that clipping from Curley. I was just thinking about Father David the other day. Coincidence?
