Dear Folks,

Got back here about a half hour ago. I hope you got the letter I mailed yesterday from Pleiku. That's really a nice place. The weather there is especially nice. It's just like springtime. It's located in the central highlands. I guess that's why. They say it's cool like that all the time.

We had to fly this morning. O'Briant flew once and I flew once. We just put our luggage on the plane and didn't even go back to Pleiku. We took off from Pleiku about 11:45  and flew radio relay for about an hour and then just headed straight back here.

We stayed on a compound with MACV Advisory Team #21. We were flying about 20 miles due east of Pleiku. The area looks sort of like the Khe San area except the mountains weren't quite so high. We  were supporting the withdrawal of some Infantry unit -- The 1st of the 10th something or other.

Rick
