Dear Folks,

I forgot to mail the letter I wrote yesterday. The days just seem to slip by before I know it. Seacord and I went to Long Binh today to collect our TDY pay. I got $135. We left about 11 am this morning walked out to the gate and waited about a half hour before we got a ride. We got into Long Binh about 12. Since Finance doesn't open till 1 pm we went to the PX for a while and stopped and had a Pepsi. I haven't been able to find a fan anywhere. Just have to be at the right place at the right time. It was blazin' hot today. I was sweating just standing still. We came back by way of Bearcat.

I got the two letters you wrote on the ninth this morning and the one you wrote on the 8th this afternoon. Crazy mail service.

Hope you made a decision about the Falcon.

I'll bet if I was home I could find that article about the Appalachian Trail in about five minutes. Just got to know what you're looking for.

Kelm keeps reminding me he only has 35 days left. Duff has 137. Paulson is still here. He's still not officially assigned to the unit.

Not much else happening around here. It's nice to hear the sound of outgoing instead of incoming for a change. There is a Thai artillery unit at Bearcat, and they really make a lot of noise, especially at night.

Well, guess that's it. Hope I remember to mail this one.

Rick
