Dear Folks,

Almost left here today. About 10 this morning a guy came knocking at the door and said "Beckman, get ready and take the truck over to pick up the officers, you're all leaving today." So we got all our stuff packed and went over to pick up the officers. I even took the key list for today back and had it burned. Well, we got over there and found out it was only the officers who were leaving and all they wanted was someone to drive them to meet the plane coming up at Marble Mountain. So Capt. Carlson and Mr. Knieder who flew the plane up here stayed and Capt. Berry and Mr Schenning went back to Long Thanh. Me and Beckman are still here. I heard we'll probably get replaced in about a week.

There is supposed to be a plane coming up tomorrow with some mail. I don't know why they didn't bring it today.

Saw the movie "Raid on Rommel" at the RPI this evening. That movie is scheduled to play at the main compound at the end of the week. For once the army got a film before the air force.

Have to hurry. I want to try to get a couple cokes from the NCO club before it closes.

Rick
