5/3/2013 - Better late than never. Updated the Ranger Rick and the Farmer Rick pages.

10/20/2010 - Been a little lax in keeping this page up with changes. I just added links to a bunch of poems I wrote and originally published on Facebook.. See the list here: Everthing you ever wanted to know about Rick.

9/21/2009 - Added a link to a pic of grandfather John Ellison to the Holt's Produce Farm page.

5/29/2009 - Updates were few and far between for the last couple years because of my excruciatingly slow dial-up connection. But today to celebrate my new wireless modem/connection I updated the home page, and the Ranger Rick page

12/3/07 - Added a link to my new Birding Blog on Birdforum.net. Also removed the links on the homepage that went to the now defunct Park Rangers on the Web and Pasadena Horse and Pony Association. I created both those sites and eventually passed them on to others. For whatever reason they've fallen in that web black hole of bad links and stale information. Oh, well. I enjoyed them while they lasted.

11/13/2007- Added Rick as Webmaster page to Rick in the News. Feature article in the Dundalk Eagle about this site.

5/9/07 - Added a link on a couple of Letters Home from Vietnam to info about Chickenman, a humorous radio show on Armed Forces radio when I was in Vietnam and mentioned in some of my letters home.

2/28/07 - Updated the show series page with info about judges, more info to follow.

1/28/07 - Made a couple small changes on the homepage and added a new Vietnam photo I got from Tom Kelm.

8/8/06 - Added some comments to the Jeep Project page and a new jeep photo album

3/10/06 - Added a couple of pics on the Jeep page.

2/17/06 - Added a couple of pics that I found in my desk today to the Ranger Rick Photo Album .

1/1/2005 - I've been a bit lax in recording updates here, but over the last several months I've: added pics to the ranger rick photo album, added pics to the vietnam photo album, updated the fishing page by archiving 2005, added a pic of Mark Trent on the Terrapin Trail Club page, updated the text on the Kathy Darlene Rice page, updated the home page to reflect these changes and probably a few things I've forgotten.

11/1/05 - I've had a problem with the Jeep Photo Albums that defied me for quite some time. Finally beat the sucker. The albums are back online.

8/9/05 - Updated the Jeep Project page. Ricky and I installed a 4" lift kit in the jeep.

6/29/05 - Made some changes on the Dun-Pikin Calendar and added a direct link to the Future Interest for full care boarding form.

6/3/05 - Updated the All About Ranger Rick page and added the Ranger Rick Photo Album.

5/14/05 - Went fishin' again.

4/2/05 - Added the Farm Photo Album, 14 pages with 150 photos of the 17 years we farmed. More pictures to come!

3/31/2005 - Added a page for my attempt at the John F. Kennedy 50 mile Memorial Hike/Run in 1972.

3/22/05 - Stumbled upon an old news clipping for Rick in the News -- Rick's Famous Pumpkin

2/13/05 - Been a little lax in posting my updates to this page over the last month or two. We been busy getting the jeep on the road. I've updated the Jeep project page and just added a few pics to the Jeep Photo Album.

8/19/04 - Found the missing pages from the Anteater Spring 1975 and began transcribing them. Good story about a week long snowshoeing trip to the Adirondacks that we took over spring break that year. Also updated the Vietnam diary for 12/19/1971 with a notation.

6/14/04 - Added an entry on the Jeep Project Page and some photos of painting in progress in the Jeep Project Photo Album.

6/3/04 - Put some info on the Terrapin Trail Club Days... page about the death of Bob Enagonio. Bob was my roommate in college for a while and we shared many adventures with the Terrapin Trail Club. He died doing what he loved...mountaineering in Glacier National Park. What can I do but shed a tear and remember him? God Bless you Bob. Rest in Peace.

6/30/04 - Put up a page of Pickerel fishing tips

5/24/04 - Consolidated all the old cartoons and graphics that I created for the Anteater and linked the page to Rick Writes the News. Also added a link there to the Anteater articles.

4/28/2004 - Began another little project in reminiscing, The Terrapin Trail Club days... This make take a little while as I scan and transcribe some of the old trail club newsletters, the Anteater.

3/8/04 - Added a pic of Ricky's jeep stuck on the manure pile at the farm to the Jeep Project page. This was taken right after we gave it to him for his 14th birthday. Considering the tires were bald and it had no extra lift he did pretty well. Almost made it!

1/30/04 - Added the 1971 Yearbook of my unit, the 1st Signal Brigade Aviation Detachment (2nd Signal Group). This was quite a project scanning and reformatting this 50 page book. Enjoy!

12/9/03 - Added a pic on the 1968 and the 1969 Fishing pages. Each year I only had one picture that I couldn't put in when I first put up the pages because I didn't have a scanner at the time.

12/5/03 - Fixed a bunch of problems on the Fishing 2002 page. I didn't realize it was so screwed up. Also fixed a bunch of pages where the background image wasn't displaying. This again I wasn't aware of as all those pages appeared correctly on my home computer. It seems the pages were referencing files on my computer instead of files on the server. And I thought I had this html stuff figured out....

6/30/2003 - I've gotten a little lax about posting notices of changes on this page over the last six months. Lots of updates though as I've added some fishing trips, and checked all the links on my favorites page (lots of stale ones removed.) The Dun-Pikin Farm pages have been continually updated. I added a major front page link to the new website I maintain for the Pasadena Horse and Pony Association. Also linked to some info on my childhood catholic education. I added a Vietnam Photo album. Probably the biggest change is that I'm purchased my own domain http://rickholt.net and move all my pages to a new server under that domain. For the time being all links to my old pages on the bcpl.net will still work as they will be automatically forwarded to the new server, but please create a new bookmark if you you'd like return to my site.

University of Maryland at College Park Graduated from here in early 1977 with a BS in Conservation and Resource Development -- Fish and Wildlife Management from the College of Agriculture (now the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.)

Gave the home page a facelift today. Also changed the URL for the homepage to http://www.bcpl.lib.md.us/~rholt/. Basically I renamed the first page to index.html rather than rick1.html as it had been. I move some things off the first page to speed up loading of that page and reduce the clutter. Much of my personal info is now on the page Everything you ever wanted to know about Rick. You can still use the old URL and find a link to the new page, but I would recommend setting a new bookmark to the new location.
